World Lupus Day

World Lupus Day

Ever know something about the disease name Lupus? It is one of the most dangerous disease and it is not good to live with it. This is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body such as skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body. Chronic means that the signs and symptoms tend to last longer than six weeks and often for many years, lupus also made your immune system, which part of the body fights off viruses, bacteria, and germs. From this day, 5 million people worldwide struggle with the often debilitating health consequences of lupus. This kind of disease affects people in all parts of the worlds including Indonesia starting from 2012 reaching from 12.700 life to 13.300 life in 2013. However, there are some group of people in the world who develop lupus more frequently than the others, lupus develops in people in all ages, races, ethnicities, as well as genders. That is where the World Lupus Federation came to sponsor World Lupus Day as an event to raise and create a greater awareness as well as an understanding with education about the disease in order to save people who live with it inside. With World Lupus Federation and the rest of the health organisation as well as lupus patient organisation from around the world, we can unite to improve the quality of life for people affected by lupus. If you want to help people with such disease like lupus, World Lupus Day serves to rally lupus organisation and people who are affected by the disease around the world for a common purpose of bringing greater attention, resources, commitment to efforts and contribute to end the suffering caused by this disabling and potentially fatal autoimmune disease
